During this past summer, my parents underwent a much needed, massive cleanup of their house. As part of the process, they temporarily moved some stuff to the backyard to make room.  Gradually as they progressed, they moved things back in the house.  Inadvertently, things were left out longer than they should and some were forgotten over the summer.  I was in the backyard a few weekends ago and this cactus was something that never made it back in.  Either it was tipped over or it was in a shaded area and had morphed to catch some light.  Regardless, this is the end result of it’s displacement.  We now call it the “p*nis” or “worm” cactus.
