Star Wars Collector

After first coming across the book, “Star Wars, 1,000 Collectables, Memorabilia and Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away” at a local bookshop a while ago, I’ve kept my eye on it ever since.  It was a bit pricey so I would just glance through the pages everytime I was in the neighbourhood.  A few weeks ago, I was at a store that sells used and discounted books (BMV), and saw a stack of these for $14.99!  I picked one up right away and went through it in more detail.  It’s an absolute MUST for any Star Wars fan or collector.  It’s basically a photographic journey of the largest Star Wars collection in the world.  There are also great stories about each piece (where it came from, how it was found, etc.) and some interesting facts about the franchise.  To see someone with so much passion and perseverance towards something is pretty cool.  Its got all the standard stuff like action figures, coke cans and costumes, but its also got some crazy things like the packaging for action figures (without the figures) printed as “Revenge of the Jedi” (before the title was changed to “Return of the Jedi”), the original door to the Cantina in Mos Eisley, prototype figures not released to the public, samples of the different sands from the original shooting locations, cast a crew shirts and jackets and more.  If you ever see this book, check it out!
