Sunday Brunch

It’s always nice to go back to visit my parents at the house I grew up in. We try and go back once or twice a month and when we do, my mother usually cooks up a feast. She’s a fantastic cook and really spoils us rotten. This time we spent the night and had a good old family brunch the next morning. It’s not always this elaborate, but it’s always top notch (when your mom makes it, even the simplest of meals taste special).

Here’s the spread: Piping hot homemade scones, homemade tomato jam and fresh cream (not shown here), ontario peach and basil salad, crab potato cakes, bacon and medley of mixed mushrooms with fresh herbs. We also classed it up with some McDonalds coffee.  Thanks mum!
