Fab-rica Treat!

After swimming class, we usually race home to have a quick lunch before nap time.  On rare occasions where we’re lazy to cook lunch (or don’t have left overs at home), we may stop by a quick bite at a restaurant on the way home.  These quick stops are not that good, glorified fast food joints.  Several weekends ago, we had a bit more time and out of the blue, my wife asked me to where I would like to go for lunch as a treat.  We’re always go go go so this was a real surprise.
Anyways, I always wanted to return to Fabrica for some Italian.  My wife doesn’t mind Italian, but on her own, it would rarely be her first pick for lunch (especially since she’s also more budget conscious/responsible than me).  We went a few years ago and I enjoyed it and it’s sort of on our route.
I only had my phone for a camera but here’s a pick.  It was a fantastic, comfortable lunch and we all had a good time.  It’s very pricey for lunch (not really worth it), but its a great room and awesome food.  At these prices, I wouldn’t be able to go often, but for a rare treat, it was a really nice afternoon.
Thank you wife!
Margherita pizza, pappardelle pasta with braised duck, fried smelt with lemon, great bread and coffee.
